As all of you are aware that Iraq is a country with many sectarian and ethnic groups. And in such countries it is very difficult to manage and administer the country with the satisfaction of every sect. Iraq before the occupation was a one united country, no one dared to speak about sectarian distinction even if they had animosity for other sects because they knew what would await them, and that is the way how any country with multi sects should be controlled…by force; to ensure the unity and ensure no personal vendettas that are religion based that would not segregate the country.
The Bath party managed to control this multi sect country for 2 reasons. The Bath party is a socialist party and it included ALL country sects in its organizational structure. From the characters I know, Sadoun Hommadi is a Shiite and he held the prime minister position for sometime, minister of foreign affairs once, the head of the revolutionary parliament 3 times, minister of agriculture once and minister of the media and culture once. The Sahaf held the position of minister of media once, minister of foreign affairs once and minister of agriculture once and a number of positions that I am not exactly sure of. 2 of the vice presidents were Kurds. One was a Sunni Kurd Taha Yassin Ramadan, and one was a Shiite Kurd Taha Mohyi Aldeen Marouf. Tarek Azziz a Christian catholic took the positions of almost all the ministers and the most famous positions he held were the prime minister and minister of foreign affairs for almost a decade. In short, every member of the parliament had the chance to hold the position of all ministers. The Baath party looked at Iraqis as Iraqis only and refused to look at them as a number of sects.
It would astonish many of you to know that the 55 list of wanted men in the Baath regime that the united states published their names on a form of playing cards; 38 of them were between Kurds and Shiite and the rest are Sunnis and Christians. We have here a party that controls the country with a solid grip and it involves all sects. And that is how Iraq was united before the occupation. That is a solution that the Americans know of but they tend to turn a blind eye on it because the more the country is in chaos the more it serves in the united states best interests. And it is a mistake to think that the soldiers being killed are Americans, most of them are mercenaries that are promised to be given the green card and American nationality and the united states collects these mercenaries from Latin America, Caucasian countries, Arab countries and Southeast Asian. The more chaos the more the Americans financially benefit and the more the American companies are given the priority to establish businesses in Iraq.
In order to unite Iraq again, a number of steps must be taken and these steps will not be achieved unless the Iraqis give blood in return. First is liberation, the Americans as occupiers must leave the country along with the other countries taking with them their puppies, and I suppose we all know what these puppies are doing. How can these puppies know how to operate a country like this since all of them without exception hold nationalities other than Iraqi and have been away from the country for at least 30 years? Second, there should be one party that involves all the Iraqi sects as members in it and the election of party members should be under the supervision of the united nations making sure no interferences from any ambassador or the forging of the results and also making sure that the Americans and the Israelis do not pay money so that a preferred politician will win the elections and later on serve as their puppy. Third, the united states and all countries that participated in the occupation should compensate that new government for the damage they have caused over a decade.
What is making the killing, bloodshed, personal vendettas in Iraq is simply the fact that country is NOT under control. And it is deliberately left Uncontrolled. The Americans welcome as much political parties as possible because that makes the country’s segregation easier which serves in the united states best interest. And we have almost all the parties that are based on sectarian background. From the Sunni sect we got many, we got an Islamic party, a communist party and a socialist party. from the Shiites we got 2 Islamic parties that are not on good terms and have a history of blood, one of them is Persian decedent and one is Iraq decedent, the Badr militia and the Sadr militia. From the Kurds we have 2 parties that have a very long bloody history since the 70’s. from the Turkmans we also have a number of parties. And all the other sects have parties that are not very active in Iraqi and in the media. At least these are the parties I am aware of not to mention the rest that I have no knowledge of.
At this time Iraq is very qualified to be segregated because the Americans opened the way for such events, and it is precisely because they follow the Machiavellian saying “segregate and rule”. I mean in every day life if you divide everything it will be easier for you to maintain and control and not to treat one thing as a huge item. If the Iraqis wont wake up to oust the occupiers then they will not only shower but they will drawn in a blood bath (civil war) that if we wanted to compare in the future between the Iraqi blood bath and the Lebanese and the Rwandan civil war, these will be considered as picnics in comparison to Iraqis because Iraqis are aggressive by nature and they are hard to maintain, control and handle. and their bloody history proves that since the time of Adam.

Being a Brit in Egypt and living in the region for 5 years, I can honestly say its a difficult process to ’restore’ peace as the infamous president of the United States put it.
One thing is for sure, Iraq was better off with Saddam!
